چکیده
We present in this paper a numerical Maxwell–Schrödinger model to simulate intense ultrashort laser pulses interacting with a H 2 -gas in the nonlinear non-perturbative regime. After presentation of the model and a short mathematical study, we propose a numerical approach for its computation. In particular we focus on the polarization computation allowing the coupling between the Maxwell and Schrödinger equations, and on the boundary conditions problem for the time dependent Schrödinger equations, TDSE. Some comparisons with existing methods are also addressed.

A numerical Maxwell-Schrödinger model for intense laser-matter interaction and propagation
We present in this paper an original ab initio Maxwell–Schrödinger model and a methodology to simulate intense ultrashort laser pulses interacting with a 3D H2 -gas in the nonlinear nonperturbative regime under and beyond Born–Oppenheimer approximation. The model we present is the first one to our knowledge (excepted in [E. Lorin, S. Chelkowski, A. Bandrauk, A Maxwell–Schrödinger model for non-...

متن کاملAn Analytical Model for Rare Earth Doped Fiber Lasers Consisting of High Reflectivity Mirrors
The present article is concerned with an analytical solution for some parts of rare earth doped fiber laser equations. The presented model is valid for both four and three-level fiber lasers consisting high reflectivity mirrors. A typical method to obtain initial value in the numerical solutions of fiber laser equations is shooting method, which is based on an iteration process. Whereas this st...
متن کاملMathematical Modeling of Boundary Conditions for Laser-Molecule Time-Dependent Schrödinger Equations and Some Aspects of Their Numerical Computation—One-Dimensional Case
This article deals with boundary conditions for time-dependent Schrödinger equations for molecules excited by intense and ultrashort electric fields. On the basis of Volkovwavefunctions, we propose an original boundary condition design that allows to reduce spurious reflections at the domain boundary and allows to take at least partially, plasma effects into account. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, I...
متن کاملThermal Analysis of Laser Hardening for Different Moving Patterns
Transient thermal field in laser surface hardening treatment of medium carbon steel was analyzed by employing both three-dimensional analytical model and finite element model. In finite element model the laser beam was considered as a moving plane heat flux to establish the temperature rise distribution in the work-piece, while in analytical model laser beam was considered as an internal heat s...
